Although Group B Streptococcus is a normal bacteria in the body it can cause infections in pregnant women or in newborn babies. The CPG discusses the evidence relating to the prevention of Early-onset Group B Streptococcal Disease (EOGBSD), prenatal screening and the management during the antenatal and intrapartum period will be discussed.
